Oil on Canvas 24"x30" This is an older painting which has been picked up by Ian Tan Gallery in Vancouver. Mr. Tan's gallery is one of my favorites in the city and I am very pleased to be showing there.
My paintings are inspired by the way natural light reveals the shape, colour and texture of each subject. Realist painting is as much about the role imagination plays in perception as it is about the careful scrutiny and depiction of "reality." We all conceive and construct what we think is real. It's the individual interpretation that makes realist painting so fascinating.
